Very rare I give a 5 star, as if you check out my revies, but today had  avery vewry good burger platter, as did my side chick.I had the basoc bacon & cheese burger, with the bottomnless fries and refills of Coke Zero, my chick had a low carb double bacon & cheese burgewr, with brocolli, she was very pleased as was I. The buirger was cooked per my request by the BOH line cook, spot on, and our server Abby, was very attentive and NOT intrusive, and very professional and friendly. Well worth the money spent, and was nice service for a Saturday afternon at Hamilton PLace Mall

I'm not saying Red Robin is awful ... wait, yes, that's what I'm saying. Its one redeeming trait is that it is kid-friendly, and except for the extremely slow food delivery times, that is true. Besides that, our entire meal was an astonishing comedy of silliness. Among other things:

    - The friendly fellow who seated us asked me if the kids would like some balloons. I said yes, that would be great. He then asked if he should bring them right now. I said yes, that would be great. I would love to know what he did with that information, because he definitely didn't ever use it to obtain and transport balloons to the table.

    - Mrs. C and I ordered Sam Adams Oktoberfest, what with it being close to September. The beers we received were Sam Adams Lager, which is almost the same thing.

    - My burger was absolutely adequate. Mrs. C's "black and bleu" burger was not served with blue cheese, but instead with some kind of ghastly, inedible blue cheese sauce that made an enormous mess, but also tasted terrible. Garlic fries were somehow underseasoned despite the upcharge for those gourmet garlic fries.

    - Even the kiddos' meal stunk. Chicken tenders were dry and so stringy that the kid I nickname "garbage disposal" was picking out stringy nastiness in the chicken and asking if whether she should eat it or not. When your dining out experience makes it so you could use the phrase "I need an adult" in a non-ironic manner, there is a problem.

    - The poor woman next to us cancelled her entree entirely after they brought out her children's meals, they ate them, and her food still had not come out as they grew increasingly antsy.

    - We had an additional discussion with our server about whether or not I had paid. They have those stupid kiosks, but in this case it worked to our favor since it would have taken another few months to handle the process of payment in the traditional way.

Except for those issues, everything was perfect.

Honestly, I've been dining at Red Robin restaurants all over for years...in several different states. Usually they are pretty consistent but this one lacks...in a major way.
Appetizer served literally 2 mins before the entrees. Entrees were cold. (Mine was supposed to be as it was a salad, the burger was cold too and though it wasn't mine...cold burgers are generally gross.) Additionally, not just cold but bun wasn't even toasted...menu Specifically said "served on a toasted bun" but...whatever, kinda a little thing when the entire burger is cold. Fries, cold too. Waitress never asked if more fries were wanted or not.  Fries are fattening...she probably felt like we shoulda skipped the fries to begin with.   She brought one drink refill and never bothered to ask if we wanted more either...I guess she felt like we'd had enough.   we had to ask for silverware and she brought some to us with no napkins. But, it was fine...I figured I could use my shirt sleeve.  I asked for blue cheese crumbles on my salad, to which she said was "no problem"... apparently there was a problem because I did not get my blue cheese crumbles.  Both of us left 1/2 our meals uneaten. Not once did she inquire why? I'm guessing she probably knew it sucked. If she didn't, I'm sure she figured it out when she realized her tip also sucked.
Based on my experience tonight it'll be a while before I try this RR again...a loooong while.

Red Robin is a franchise burger joint m, but what a franchise burger joint they are! Some of the best burgers I've had! The full bar is nice to have too! Been here several times and have never had the same thing twice.

This is my first time at Red Robin. I was expecting good burgers but what I got was far beyond that. I usually order pretty plain burgers but I decided to mix it up and order something different today and I'm so glad I did. My food was absolutely amazing and my server (Makayla) was so friendly and upbeat and she provided stellar service.
